I love Royal National Park so this campaign for world heritage listing for these very special places means a lot to me.

Sutherland Shire Environment Centre is spearheading the First National Park campaign. I strongly recommend their book “A Natural for world heritage” by Dr Geoff Mosley. Geoff, a geographer and environmental historian, has produced a stunning publication.

 Greens Senator for NSW Lee Rhiannon has signalled that the Australian Greens will stand squarely behind the growing campaign to give World Heritage listing to the Royal National Park and nearby Garawarra State Conservation Area and Heathcote National Park.

I joined friends for one of my favourite bushwalks today, to Figure Eight Pools in Royal National Park. The spring flowers were beautiful with a few treats I had not seen before. The native geranium was flowering right down to the edge of the rocky walk along the coast, sometimes within a few metres of the waves.
