Revised NSW Labor motion misleads public over Greens preference history
Greens Senator for NSW and democracy spokesperson Lee Rhiannon has called Labor's revised motion to be put tomorrow to the NSW ALP state conference misleading and dishonest.
"Labor has carefully worded the motion to leave voters and the media with the false impression that the Greens preferenced Pauline Hanson and an array of right wing parties ahead of Labor in the last state election. This is just not true," Senator Rhiannon said.
"The Greens gave no preferences to Pauline Hanson or right wing parties at the last State election, either before Labor or after Labor on the ticket.
"The Greens preferenced Labor in a handful of lower house seats and did not preference any party in the upper house.
"It is disappointing that the NSW Labor Party, already suffering integrity problems in the eyes of the public, is dealing out further spin to try maintain power," Senator Rhiannon said
