Senator Lee Rhiannon spoke at a forum on the clean energy package and climate change in Liverpool on Wednesday, 5 October. She spoke alongside Member for Werriwa Laurie Ferguson, Member for Hughes Craig Kelly and Member for Macarthur Russell Matheson.
"It was a great turnout by the community and I enjoyed the spirited debate," said Lee. "It was disappointing it was difficult to get a decent discussion going about the challenges of climate change because a large group chose to interject if they didn’t agree with a particular point of view."
“The Greens renew our call for Liverpool City Council to reverse its decision not to buy green power. Now’s a great time to get behind some of the excellent initiatives many councils are developing around NSW to deliver clean energy, sustainable transport and other climate friendly initiatives."
