Captain Moore speaks with Sen Rhiannon about plastic, our oceans and marine life

Lee talks with 'Captain Plastic' - Captain Charles Moore - who first came across the Great Pacific Garbage Patch in 1997 and notes the Greens bill for a national container deposit scheme. Oceanographer and founder of the Algalita Marine Research Foundation, he has been documenting the plastic waste polluting our oceans and analysing its impact on marine life. He is in Australia promoting his lastest book and campaigning to stop plastic at its source.
